Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of QR Wall at qrwall.live. In short: you keep ownership of everything posted to your event wall, we only use it to run the service for you, you can cancel or delete at any time, and if you turn on attendee capture at your event you are responsible for how you go on to use the contact details your guests give you.

Agreement

By creating an event, posting to one, or otherwise using QR Wall, you agree to these terms. The service is operated by Trying Things, LLC, 131 Continental Drive, Suite 305, Newark, Delaware 19713, United States. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

What QR Wall is

QR Wall lets you create an event wall with a QR code. Guests scan it with a phone camera and post photos, videos, and messages, which appear on a display you control. Guests do not download an app or create an account. Features vary by plan; the current plans and prices are on the Pricing page.

Your account

  • You need an account to create and manage events. Guests do not.
  • Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and at least 13.
  • You can delete your account yourself from the Account page at any time. Doing so permanently deletes every event you own and all of its media.

Plans, billing, and cancellation

  • There is a free plan with limits, and paid plans billed monthly. Current prices are always those shown on the Pricing page at the time of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
  • Some purchases are one-off rather than recurring — for example unlocking a single event, or a performance add-on for one event. A one-off purchase is charged once and never renews.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your card details.
  • Taxes may be added where required. Prices can change, but never for a period you have already paid for; we will give notice before a change affects a renewal.
  • If something has gone wrong with a charge, email [email protected] and we will sort it out.

Who owns event content

You and your guests keep ownership of everything posted to your wall. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the limited licence we need to actually run the service — to store the content, screen it, transmit it to your display, and make it available in your gallery and downloads. That licence ends when the content is deleted.

We do not use your event content to train machine learning models, and we do not license it to anyone else.

If you host an event

You decide what your wall collects and how you use it afterwards, so a few responsibilities sit with you rather than with us:

  • Display the QR code only to people you are entitled to invite, and make it reasonably clear to guests that what they post will appear on a public display in the room.
  • If you turn on attendee capture, you are the one collecting those email addresses and phone numbers. Using them afterwards — to send marketing, to add them to a list, to contact them about anything other than the event — is subject to the law where your guests are, including GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, and TCPA. Complying with it is your responsibility.
  • Honour deletion and access requests from your own guests. If a guest asks us directly, we will act on it where we can and pass the request on to you.
  • Do not use the wall to collect special categories of personal data, or to collect information from children under 13.
  • You are responsible for moderating your own event. Our automated screening reduces what gets through; it is not a guarantee, and it does not remove your judgement from the room.

Acceptable use

Do not use QR Wall to:

  • Post or solicit content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that depicts or promotes violence.
  • Post content you do not have the rights to, or that infringes someone's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Impersonate someone, or misrepresent who is running an event.
  • Attempt to break, overload, probe, or circumvent any limit or access control in the service, including the limits that apply to free events.
  • Scrape, resell, or redistribute the service or other people's event content.
  • Upload malware, or use the service to distribute spam.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these rules, and we will tell you why when we do. Content that is illegal or that puts someone at risk may be removed immediately.

Availability

We work hard to keep QR Wall running, particularly during live events, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and we do not offer a service level agreement. The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. Test your setup before the event — the Host Guide explains how.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending it

You can stop using QR Wall at any time and delete your account from the Account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to. If we close your account other than for a breach, we will give you a reasonable chance to export your content first.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and for material changes we will email hosts at the address on the account. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer where you live.
