Key findings

Each sentence stands on its own. Under it: what the number counts, and over what sample.

  1. Across 106 real events on QR Wall between 22 March and 18 September 2026, the median event had 18 different guests post to the wall.

    Definition
A real event is a wall where at least five different guests posted, with walls named like tests left out. A posting guest is a guest who sent at least one post to that wall.
    Sample
    106 real events, 22 March – 18 September 2026 (3,322 posting guests, 16,676 posts)
  2. Among those 106 events (March–September 2026), a quarter had 37 or more posting guests and a tenth had 68 or more.

    Definition
Posting guests per event, as above. The report gives these as thresholds ("37 or more", "68 or more"), not exact percentiles.
    Sample
    106 real events, 22 March – 18 September 2026 (3,322 posting guests, 16,676 posts)
  3. Each guest who posted to a QR Wall event wall between March and September 2026 sent a median of 3.4 posts.

    Sample
    106 real events, 22 March – 18 September 2026 (3,322 posting guests, 16,676 posts)
  4. 63% of people who opened a QR Wall posting page between March and September 2026 went on to post at least once.

    Definition
Posting-page opens that led to at least one post, pooled across every event where both page opens and posts were recorded. Among the 92 events with at least 10 page opens, the median event converted 69%. This is a rate from opening the page, not a share of everyone in the room: attendance is unknown.
    Sample
Real events (above) where page opens and posts were both recorded; 92 events with 10 or more page opens for the median
  5. On the median QR Wall event in March–September 2026, 48% of all posts arrived in the single busiest hour; on a quarter of events it was 84% or more.

    Definition
Share of an event's posts that fell in its busiest clock hour. The median event had about four hours with meaningful posting, meaning three or more posts in the hour.
    Sample
    106 real events, 22 March – 18 September 2026 (3,322 posting guests, 16,676 posts)
  6. 31% of posts to QR Wall event walls between March and September 2026 were written messages; the rest were photos.

    Definition
Share of posts that were text messages. Short video posts launched in September 2026 and are too few to count.

  7. As of September 2026, memorial walls collected the most posts of any occasion on QR Wall: a median of 179 posts across 11 celebration-of-life and tribute walls with at least 10 posts.

    Definition
Median posts per wall, among walls with at least 10 posts, by occasion classified from the wall's name. See the occasion table for the other five occasions.
    Sample
Walls created up to 18 September 2026 with at least 10 posts, classified by occasion (74 walls across the six occasions)
  8. 67% of guests who posted to a QR Wall event wall between March and September 2026 used an iPhone (iOS); 33% used Android.

Methodology

Guest behaviour (every figure except the occasion table) comes from QR Wall's product analytics: posting-page opens and posts, grouped by wall, for 22 March – 18 September 2026 (180 days). Only real events count: walls where at least five different guests posted, with walls named like tests left out. That leaves 106 events, 3,322 posting guests and 16,676 posts, out of 468 walls with guest posts from 64 countries.

The occasion table comes from post counts per wall for every wall created up to 18 September 2026 with at least 10 posts, each classified by QR Wall from the wall's name (a memorial, a birthday, a company event and so on). Walls that couldn't be classified, and test walls, are left out; where an event ran two walls, each wall counts once. Weddings are missing on purpose: only four wedding walls reached 10 posts, too few for a median.

Privacy. Only aggregates are published. No photos or messages were read to produce these figures, and no figure can be traced to one event, host or guest.

What the report does not define

  • How a guest is identified across posts. Counts are guests as QR Wall's analytics record them; the report does not say whether that is a browser, a device or something else.
  • How the median of 3.4 posts per posting guest is taken — across all posting guests, or across events' per-guest averages. A median across individual guests would normally be a whole number, so read 3.4 as describing a typical guest, not a precise statistic.
  • How many events enter the pooled 63% conversion rate. The report says "every event where both were recorded"; the count is not published. The median (69%) is over 92 events with at least 10 page opens.
  • The exact rule for "walls named like tests", and the classification rules for occasions beyond "from the wall's name".
  • The start date of the occasion table's sample (walls created up to 18 September 2026), and the total number of walls in it; 74 is the sum of the six rows shown.

Limitations

  • Guest counts are a floor. Analytics miss guests whose browsers block tracking.
  • The busiest-hour share is measured in clock hours, so it slightly understates bursts that straddle an hour.
  • It describes QR Wall's events, not every event. Hosts chose a browser-based wall, in 64 countries, many on the free plan, which shows five posts on screen at a time.
  • Occasion samples are small (6 to 21 walls each). Read the order as a signal, not a ranking.
  • Conversion is from opening the page, not from attendance. Nobody counted how many guests were in the room.
